TRAILS HEARING DATE JUNE 24

There are 26 community planning and sponsor groups in San Diego county and 18 of these have submitted Community Trails and Pathways Plans that have been adopted into the County Trails program.  Three more communities will present their plans before the Board of Supervisors on Wednesday June 24th to complete an update of the master Trails Program.  Twin Oaks Valley would like to become the fourth community to be included at this hearing.  Past and present polls and surveys show overwhelming community support for trails in Twin Oaks Valley .  The Twin Oaks Valley Trails and Pathways planning committee will present a community trails plan that fills a void within the county portion of the Valley.  Unfortunately, the Twin Oaks Valley Sponsor group has long been opposed to participating in the County’s Trails program.

Bringing this Trails plan forward without the Sponsor group’s support requires a large showing at the June 24th meeting.  Hundreds have signed petitions to support a trails plan and now it is time to be seen and heard.  At this meeting we will ask our 5th district representative to make a motion that Twin Oaks Valley becomes the 22nd community who has their plan adopted into this successful County Trails program.

Please,  COME SHOW SUPPORT FOR THE TOV COMMUNITY TRAILS & PATHWAY PLAN!

The meeting is Wednesday, June 24th  @  9:00 a.m  in the North Chamber, room 310, of the County Board of Supervisors building located at 1600 Pacific Highway in San Diego .
